I had a great time here the server was so fun and friendly. I think the bubble tea was real good. Nearby to the theater I had tickets.
I would like to go back again.
Great lactose intolerant options!

Try the curry hom bow! You won't be disappointed.
And if you don't know what hom bow is, it's usually pork wrapped in a sweet bun. You can get it either baked or steamed. Just imagine curry wrapped in a sweet baked bun. Can't beat it! And it's at the market so it's something easy that you can carry around and eat while you're checking everything out!
Me Sum Pastry is just a walk up counter so no seating. There is normally a short line and so for this reason be prepared for a wait. But prices are very reasonable considering the location! -

If you've been to Pike Place Market, you know how crazy that street can get and especially the sidewalks. Many of the popular food places on the sidewalks inspire lenghty lines which can hinder mobility for anyone else braving the sidewalk.
Thankfully Mee Sum Pastry seems to have a system down or at least are mindful to have enough staff to accomodate the lines. There were 4 women working the register and taking orders, and two guys in the back churning out food in a very cramped space but they made it work.
Craving something sweet, I only went with the red bean pastry but many in line were ordering the pork buns, crab rangoon, or shumi (made a mental note to try these during my next visit).
If you're getting a big order, they do have boxes with their logo on them but if you have a smaller order they'll give you one of their bags. -

My friend recommended the curry beef bun. After tax I think it was $4? It was delicious and filling. There was a lot of warm curry beef inside the bun but the top layer of the bun was still crispy and the bun itself had a good chew to it. It was delicious. I will probably go back tomorrow and try their BBQ pork bun.
They also had zong! And I saw the ladies making them behind the counter but didn't buy any. They also had potstickers and shiu mai.
UPDATE: I went back the next morning (completely opposite direction of the Space Needle) to try the shiu mai and BBQ pork bun. Yup, I'm officially coming back here every time I'm in Seattle for buns. -

Tried the BBQ Pork Hom Bow after several people telling us to give it a try. It was a little bit of a different taste than I was expecting, but still really good and cheap! The bun was soft but not too doughy and the pork was juicy and tender.
If you are down in the market area, I would definitely stop by here for a quick bite. I believe that most of their hom bow was only $4 each. What a deal!
